Sam Marshall
Sam Marshall lives in rural Northamptonshire, with her mini dachshund. When not working in her studio, she teaches printmaking at the Royal Drawing School in London.
"My inspiration comes from many sources; medieval bestiaries, animal prints of the 1800’s. I also love the fantastical animals and birds of the 19th Century Ceramist William De Morgan."
Sam's aesthetic is influenced by British artists such as Eric Ravilious, and Edward Bawden. Combining linocut with screen print, provides a hit of pure colour in contrast to the graphic line of the linocut.
